A brilliant Andy Murray marched into the final of the Open 13 in Marseille after a breathtaking 6-2 6-2 win over Paul-Henri Mathieu of France.

The Scot ripped return after return past Mathieu and stunned the Frenchman with a superb serving performance, never losing a single point when his first serve found its mark.

"That's for sure the first time on the tour when I have won every point on my first serve," Murray said.

"I was talking to my coach and I said, 'look, I have got to start going after my serve and try to hit aces'. When you can serve 220km an hour you've got to try and do it because it's intimidating.

"Since then, although the percentage was not so good today, I thought I served great and really aggressive and that's the mindset I must have in all my matches."
