Two Italian tennis players have been suspended by the ATP for betting on matches.
Top-ranked Italian Potito Starace was banned for six weeks and fined £15,000, while Daniele Bracciali was suspended for three months and fined £10,000.
However, the Italian federation condemned the penalties as disproportionate.
It said the bets were staked more than two years ago and that the players never bet on their own matches.
