Serena Williams overpowered top seed Svetlana Kuznetsova 7-6 6-1 in Moscow to reach her first Kremlin Cup final.
The fourth-seeded American will play another Russian, Elena Dementieva, who crushed Dinara Safina 6-1 6-0, in today's final.
Former world No.1 Williams broke a nervy-looking Kuznetsova twice in the second set, which lasted a mere 28 minutes, to cruise to her third final of the year.
