Andy Murray beat No.2 seed Guillermo Canas 7-6 6-4 to reach today's Metz Open final in France.

The Scot, whose season has been wrecked by a wrist injury, now has a chance of a third ATP title after seeing off the Argentinian.

Murray said: "The key was my serve. I did not have a single break point against me until late on. I'm close to my best level."

He now faces top seed Tommy Robredo, of Spain.
