Champion Maria Sharapova's US Open reign ended in the third round with a shock 6-4 1-6 6-2 defeat by Pole Agnieszka Radwanska.
Radwanska, 18, who reached the fourth round for the first time, condemned the Russian second seed to her earliest Grand Slam defeat since she lost in the third round here in 2004.
