Gloucester fly half Ryan Lamb said self-belief had kept his side top of the table despite a poor recent run.
Lamb, 22 next month, was named man of the match for his contribution to a six-try drubbing of hapless Saracens.
He ran in two tries himself on his way to a 19-point tally and his passing was inspired.
Lamb said: "We have great confidence in this team - we always believe in our potential on the field.
"We have had some wobbles recently but we are back to form again now and this shows what we can do."
James Simpson-Daniel, Akapusi Quera, Lesley Vainikolo and Rory Lawson also touched down on a day the Cherry and Whites shook off their Heineken Cup defeat by Munster. Sarries got some consolation in the closing minutes when centre Adam Powell and No 8 Ben Skirving both went over for tries as Gloucester finally relaxed their grip.
But coach Alan Gaffney described the manner of his team's defeat as "difficult to explain - and difficult to accept. We didn't play anywhere near the way we can. We gave soft tries away.
"It was just embarrassing. We were hopelessly beaten at the breakdown and outplayed in the contact area. The playoffs are out of reach now."
