Bernie Ecclestone exploded in rage yesterday in talks with Grand Prix team bosses to oust beleaguered FIA chief Max Mosley.
Ecclestone (right) wanted unanimous agreement on a statement calling on the sport's governing body for their leader to quit in the wake of a sadomasochistic sex scandal. Seven of the ten team heads backed the move during a morning meeting.
But Mosley's long-time allies Ferrari and Toro Roso refused and were backed by Williams representative Adam Parr. In fury Ecclestone lashed out at Parr as a "f'"'"ing amateur".
The fact that his old friend Ecclestone was willing to put his name to the statement if there had been unanimity will come as a serious body blow to Mosley.
