Archie Knox (DR)
Bolton Wanderers have axed their No.2 Archie Knox in a managerial shake-up - just two days after beating the drop.
The Scot had worked with Sammy Lee and even been caretaker at the Reebok this season, but boss Gary Megson told him to go in a major surprise yesterday.
Stunned ex-Manchester United assistant boss Knox will be looking for a proper pay-off after joining Bolton at the troubled start of their campaign.
Megson is looking for his own people and will make more swingeing cuts and changes this summer.
Knox is one of SIX to be shunted out, with several staff - many of Sam Allardyce's large team - axed in savage cuts.
The club have denied it is a cost-cutting measure.
