BIRMINGHAM CITY are set to snap up another of Arsenal's stock of talented youngsters by signing defender Johan Djourou.

The 20-year-old, who played for Switzerland in last summer's World Cup, made 18 Premiership starts last season because of injuries. But he is fourth in line behind Kolo Toure, William Gallas and Phillippe Senderos for a first-team spot.

With Arsene Wenger set for a summer clear-out, Blues boss Steve Bruce is ready to pounce.

He's spent #3.2m on Arsenal starlets Sebastian Larsson and Fabrice Muamba and will have to pay as much again for Djourou.
