Chelsea are confident they will clinch Frank Lampard's long-term future this week.
The final stumbling block is the length of the England man's new deal.
Lampard and his advisers are holding out for a five-year contract, with the club - who originally tabled a two-year deal - currently offering four.
Lampard, 30, reports for training tomorrow morning and talks about a contract that would put him in the £130,000-a-week bracket will resume within 48 hours.
New manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has told the Blues he wants to build a team around Lampard despite the arrival of Portuguese
