Xabi Alonso has insisted that he has made his peace with Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez and wants to stay at Anfield.
The Spanish international was a £10million target for Barcelona after reports that his relationship with Benitez had broken down.
But he told Sunday Mirror Sport: "I know I was criticised, but it's over. For me that is forgotten now.
"I have a contract until 2012 and I'm quite satisfied about my future.
"I will always accept the orders of my coach and I don't think that anyone can question my professionalism."
