Emmanuel Eboue: The men I really fear

Wigan v Arsenal, Today 4pm

Emmanuel Eboue has spread fear among most Premier League sides with his X-rated challenges.

But the Ivory Coast star claims he's the one running scared.

The Arsenal hardman has been accused of breaking John Terry's foot, while his red card for a high tackle on Patrice Evra during their FA Cup clash with Manchester United saw him again having to defend himself.

Now he is desperate to change the "bad boy" view of the men he fears most ... referees.

Eboue, 24, is desperate to do everything he can to help Arsene Wenger's side win the title - even if it means becoming the nice boy of the Premier League so he does not have any more run-ins with the FA.

The Gunners midfielder said: "I know it is easy to get a reputation and hard to lose one. People think that I'm a bad guy but I'm not. I just want to win.

"When I see someone go past me I want to get the ball back.

"I have to be careful because I am scared of getting a red card from the referee. I can't say anything about my tackles because the referee makes the decisions. He knows why.

Maybe I gave a bad tackle.

"When I get a red card I get very angry. When I get a yellow card I have to be very careful and stop giving a bad tackle and be nice on the pitch."
