Michael Vaughan hopes to hit top form with the bat in New Zealand - at No.3!
The England skipper has revealed he is ready to give up his opening spot to Andrew Strauss in a bid to revive his side's flagging fortunes.
Vaughan said: "I'm only eight games into my comeback so I'm still feeling my way back in. My form has been good even if I haven't got the big hundreds I feel I can get.
"Those big hundreds are in there waiting to come out. And it would be nice to get one during the Test series with New Zealand.
"Straussy is back so maybe he will open and I'll drop down to No.3. It's his natural position at the top of the order.
"The character he brings to the team will be vital if we're going to do well."
