Kev relishes feast up East

Cockney Kevin Mitchell's wait to be the main draw in his home-town will end next Saturday at York Hall in London's East End.

Mitchell defends his Commonwealth super-featherweight crown against Ghana's Thomas Aryeetey knowing a win will guarantee him a British title fight.

"I'm only 23 but I seem to have been around for a long, long time," admitted Mitchell. "I'm unbeaten in 24 fights and I'm ready now to join the big boys.

"In 2008 my name will be mentioned with the best.

"There are a lot of big fights out there for me at domestic and European level before I go looking for a world title.

"I've been patient long enough and now it's time for the Kevin Mitchell show."
