JESSE Metcalfe has landed in the UK... and he is on a mission to win back Nadine Coyle.
I had a heart-to-heart with the gorgeous Desperate Housewives star, when he hosted a party at Peter Stringfellow's new nightclub, The Wardour, in London's Soho on Friday night.
He pleaded with me try to clear his name - claiming he never cheated on the Girls Aloud singer.
I have to hand it to him, he was charming. But there must have been a good reason why Nadine kicked Jesse into touch two months ago, after photographs emerged of him canoodling at an LA nightclub with a striking brunette.
The couple dated for 18 months and Jesse told me that he has been "empty and low" since they split.
"I have to persuade her that I didn't cheat on her," the 28-year-old actor begged.
"Please write that I was always faithful to her and never cheated. Those girls that I was photographed with meant nothing to me. I would never betray Nadine.
I still love her and it is my dream that we get back together soon."
Although there were no shortage of girls competing for Jesse's attention at the Styleclash party, including a table of 15 Select models in the VIP area, he made a show of ignoring them in an effort to convince me that he really wanted Nadine, 22.
"I'm only here for a week, partly for work and partly to meet up with people," he added desperately. "But I don't think Nadine will see me right now. It's sad."
One positive thing is that Jesse - who recently revealed that he was planning on a solo music career - has given up the booze.
He said he has been "100 per cent sober for three-and-a-half months", since completing treatment for alcohol addiction at the Promises rehab clinic in California.
It's a start, but I would still be wary if I was Nadine...
