It's the question on everybody's Lips... did Gavin and Stacey's James Corden actually score with Lily Allen? Sadly for Corden, his best mate Matthew Horne says the answer is NO.
The chubby comedian - who plays tubby plumber Smithy in the hit BBC show - has been like a lovesick puppy after nights out with Smile singer Lily ended with a swift parting. They haven't even had a goodnight kiss.
I got the lowdown from Horne - who plays Gavin.
He's been busy writing a new BBC sketch show with Corden for the past few weeks.
There's been lots of laughter directed at Corden's failure to get some Lily lovin'.
Matt told me over cocktails in London's Hard Rock Cafe: "James comes into work each day and everyone is asking him 'have you s****ed her yet?'
"The truth is he hasn't even kissed her. He would love to of course, but they are just friends.
"For now. It could change, who knows? Jame s probably wants it to change, but I know they haven't even kissed yet." Ouch - that's a bit honest.
Apart from the fact they are both pant-wettingly funny and single, Horne and Corden have little in common.
Matt, who shares a bachelor pad with two flatmates, added: "I hardly ever go out. James is loving the whole fame thing. He's out every night.
"Every day he comes in to work and he has a story to tell about what's happened the night before. Nothing that scandalous - just people he's met and stuff. He's partying for the both of us - don't know where he gets the energy from."
The pair have a busy schedule and start filming their first feature film - Lesbian Vampire Killers - in three weeks.
So ladies, grab Corden while you can. I thought he was gorgeous when we met at the premiere of What Happens in Vegas last week. And it seems I'm not the only one.
He said: "Apparently, loads of women fancy me and find me sexy now. It's a bit crazy because before Gavin and Stacey, the girls thought I was some fat bastard - and now they love me.
"I can't believe it. But it's nice to be fancied by people, it's great, its terrific." Careful James - don't want to get a big head now.
