TAKE A SNIFF ON ESSENCE OF KATE

FEW people have got close enough to her to know how she talks, let alone how she smells, but I have had the first whiff of Kate Moss... the perfume, of course.

The scent, made by Coty, hits the stores in September and was better than I expected.

I have to say it's a little floral for my liking but Kate has definitely come up smelling of roses.

She scrubs up well for the ad campaign too, photographed holding a black rose to her lips.

Very sexy.

I also like the vintage-style perfume bottles, topped with a little black cap.

It's all an improvement on when I last smelled her, reeking of cigarettes and vodka in the muddy backstage bar at Glastonbury last weekend...

Now, if only someone would blend a fragrance for sweaty Pete Doherty, the world would be a much sweeter place.
