Nim's Island

The story: Feisty young Nim (Breslin) lives on a beautiful tropical island with her scientist father (Butler) and her animal friends. Her main link to the outside world is her favourite literary hero Alex Rover.
When her father goes missing, a twist of fate sees her communicating with Alex Rover - who is actually Alexandra Rover (Foster), the nervous author who never leaves home. But with Nim in trouble, Alexandra travels to the island to help.
The verdict: This beautiful and enchanting adventure film is a fun-packed family film that will keep the young ones entranced and engaged.
If you mix Home Alone with Romancing The Stone, you pretty much have this smart thrill-packed film, based on a popular children's book. Nim's Island is great fun and beautifully mixes reality with adventure. Breslin is captivating.
