A new father was stabbed to death at a party yesterday - for dancing with a woman.

Elliot Guy, 27, who had become dad to a daughter two months ago, was knifed in the neck by a man said to have been jealous.

Elliot staggered out of the flat with blood pouring from the wound and crying for help before collapsing.

Bouncers and drinkers from a nearby pub and nightclub battled to staunch the flow of blood using clothes and a pillow, but he died in hospital.

A fellow guest at the party, at a block of flats in Tufnell Park, North London said: "There was a row over a girl - that's all it took.

"The person who attacked him was obviously jealous over how him and a girl were dancing together.

"He pulled a knife and stabbed him. The bloke staggered out dripping with blood and collapsed in the road opposite the flats.

"People were running around him in hysterics trying to help - it was horrific."

Last night friends of Elliot, who lived in Tufnell Park with partner Amy Smith, said he had recently become a student of top furniture designer David Savage at his North Devon workshop.

One pal, who asked not to be named, said: "He had only come back for the weekend to see family and friends and go, of course, to see his daughter.

"After having his daughter he made the tough decision to leave his partner and child to go and study bespoke furniture-making. He wanted a better life for his family and thought that was the way to do it."

Friends laid flowers at the murder scene and paid a tribute on Facebook.

Two men, aged 41 and 30, and a woman aged 39 were arrested.
