Angelina Jolie leaves hospital with her new twins

Angelina Jolie left hospital with her new twins yesterday - flying to the £35million chateau where they will be brought up as "French royalty".

The 33-year-old Hollywood superstar and her partner Brad Pitt, 44, were seen at 4am getting into a helicopter at the Lenval Hospital in Nice, south of France.

Their new babies, Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, were born just over a week ago. A hospital spokesman said: "Mother and babies are doing very well, and were ready to go home. They have been a pleasure to have at the hospital. We are sure the children will continue to be treated like French royalty."

A massive security operation was put in place to ensure the family could safely leave on their flight to Chateau Miraval.

The couple have sold pictures of the twins for a reported £6million.
