The verdict: A stylish British caper that veers from goodnatured safe-breaking to gangland violence.

THE BUCKET LIST (12)

The story: A corporate billionaire (Jack Nicholson) and a working-class mechanic (Samuel L Jackson) share a hospital room and decide to realise some of their dreams before they "kick the bucket".

The extras: Includes a special on screenwriter Justin Zackham, additional scenes and a music video.

The verdict: A gently amusing tale featuring two great performers at the top of their powers. A surprise box office hit that offers much to enjoy.
