Extras star Ashley Jensen has a secret sister

Ugly Betty and Extras actress Ashley Jensen has a secret sister she has never met, it emerged yesterday.

The TV star has never spoken to her sibling Gillian, who is the result of an affair their father Ivar had.

Ivar, 64, said: "I had an affair when I was with Ashley's mum and that's where my other daughter came from.

"I only found out about her quite recently. She came out of the blue. She looks like me and Ashley."

He said Gillian is nearly the same age as rising star Ashley but that the two sisters have never met.

Ashley last saw Ivar in 1985 when he walked into the pub in her home town of Annan, South-West Scotland, where she had a job collecting beer glasses.

Ivar and Ashley's mum Margaret wed in 1968, but she kicked him out when she found out about the affair.
