Coleen McLoughlin has asked her disabled little sister Rosie to be her chief bridesmaid at this week's £4million wedding to soccer star Wayne Rooney.

In a touching gesture, Coleen told Rosie she wanted her by her side on the biggest day of her life. The 10- year-old, who cannot talk, burst into tears and nodded yes.

"Family means everything to Coleen and she knew how much it would mean to Rosie," said a friend of the bride. "She knows Rosie is unlikely to ever be a bride so this is her gift to her little sister."

The youngster suffers from Rett syndrome and needs 24-hour care. Her condition means she cannot walk, talk and has to be fed through a tube.

There is no cure.

Coleen and Wayne were insistent their wedding this Thursday at the exclusive Villa Durazzo in Portofino, Italy, should be the most important day of Rosie's life, as well as theirs.

Coleen's friend said: "She wants her sister to be a princess for the day."

Meanwhile, Wayne vomited on the last night of his four-day stag do in Ibiza - and failed to make it out of his villa. He was so physically ill and exhausted after a marathon 60-hour boozing session that he apologised to his mates and declared himself unfit.

He stayed holed up in his £17,000-aweek villa, along with agent Paul Stretford, while the rest of his party hit the town. He eventually flew home yesterday morning, pale and red-eyed.

Wayne drank an estimated 100 beers, 40 bottles of Smirnoff Ice and 50 vodka and Red Bulls over the four days. On Thursday, the third 16-hour session ended with a boozy dinner at the villa. On Friday he sank 18 bottles of beer on a two-hour boat trip to neighbouring Formentera.

A holidaymaker said: "Everyone really caned it the whole time and in the end, it just got too much for him.

He was really ill by Friday night."

But it wasn't all drunken antics.

Wayne had an emotional heart-toheart with his dad Wayne Senior, 45, telling him he loved Coleen "like nothing else on Earth". He said all he wanted was for his marriage to last forever and for his parents to be proud of him.

The tender moment between the pair revealed a sensitive side to the England striker famed for his shyness in front of cameras and aggression on the pitch.

His dad hugged him and said he had already made him more proud than anyone could ever be.

He told him Coleen was "really, really lovely" and that he was lucky because he now "had it all".

Wayne Snr thanked his son for bringing him on the stag trip and Wayne told him his was the first name on his "team sheet".

He told him: "No. Thank you, Dad.

You deserve it. You have raised three kids who have all done well. You're amazing." The bill for the wedding is set to top £4million, including private jets for guests, £400,000 for a performance by Westlife, £750,000 on the fairytale venue and £200,000 on the dress.

Coleen enjoyed a third hen do as she headed off to Tenerife with some friends to relax in the runup to the wedding.

Rosie will join Coleen's two other bridesmaids - Wayne's cousin Claire Rooney, 20, and Coleen's cousin Carly Gardiner, 18, who is dating Wayne's brother Graham. Coleen's mum Colette, 44, and dad Tony, 48, fostered Rosie when she was two before adopting her. She is cared for at Claire House in Bebington on the Wirral and a chunk of the record £2.5m fee the couple will get from selling the exclusive rights to a mag will go towards the hospice.
