Marathon chocolate bars are set for a comeback - 18 years after they were renamed Snickers.
The move comes only a week after sweet-makers Mars announced they were also bringing back Opal Fruits - renamed Starburst a decade ago - for a three-month trial.
Marathon was ditched in the UK in 1990 when Mars decided to bring it into line with its worldwide Snickers brand. Now the company has re-registered the Marathon brand as a trademark in the UK.
It's the latest attempt to cash in on the growing popularity of "retro rebrands". Last year Cadbury revived the Wispa chocolate bar after a massive internet campaign.
Coco Pops were renamed Choco Krispies in 1999 to reflect "the real chocolate taste", but after a public outcry Kellogg's changed the name back to Coco Pops.
Opal Fruits, the chewy sweets "made to make your mouth water", will be back on sale next week for a limited period.
The original flavours - orange, lemon, lime and strawberry - will return, but with no artificial colours or flavours.
