A money-mad woman stole thousands from her sick mother, vulnerable children and her workmates to fund her extravagant lifestyle.
Katie Neeve splashed out on holidays and expensive clothes after going on spending sprees on eBay, catalogues and TV shopping channels.
The mother-of-one even used some of the £20,000 she stole from her parents to fund her 30th birthday party, Norwich Crown Court heard.
Neeve's catalogue of thefts included stealing £5,000 from two children's homes while working for Norfolk County Council as a unit administrator.
She also swindled colleagues in her previous job at South Norfolk Council by stealing £1,300 from a lottery syndicate.
Neeve, 31, of Harleston, Norfolk, admitted eight counts of theft and was jailed for 18 months.
Judge Peter Jacobs told her she had exploited vulnerable people and those who trusted her, including her own family and work colleagues.
He branded the theft of £20,000 from her parents when her mother was ill a "gross breach of trust".
