A young man who survived cancer three times tragically died after getting a cold sore.
Jimmy Mulley, 26, was recovering from a second bone marrow transplant when the cold-sore virus fatally attacked his immune system.
His mother Barbara Mulley, 53, said: "It's hard to take that he battled cancer all his life, but it was a cold-sore that killed him."
Mr Mulley, of Washington, Tyne and Wear, had been planning to marry his girlfriend of three years, Vicky Brewer, 22, next year.
