Britain's biggest lotto winner hardly touches her fortune... but she's treated her estranged husband to a new home and car.
Angela Kelly, who scooped £35million last year, has bought Gerry an X-type Jaguar and a villa in a leafy suburb to replace his modest ex-council house home.
Postal worker Gerry, 45, was spotted driving around in his £25,000 motor last week. And he will leave his rundown house next month and move into a £270,000 four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in a suburb of Glasgow.
The estranged couple never divorced for the sake of their son John, 15, but Gerry never pressed Angela for a share of her EuroMillions bonanza.
A friend said: "Gerry could have been greedy and demanded a huge chunk of her fortune but he didn't.
"He left it up to Angela and she repaid him by giving him £250,000.
"She gave him just enough to buy a new car and a new house on a nice estate." Despite her win, which earns her £5,000 a day in interest alone, Angela still dresses in dowdy clothes and lives like a recluse.
She still shops in her local town centre in East Kilbride, near Glasgow, and only treated herself to a new home four months after her win last August.
Angela, 40, bought a £600,000 five-bedroom house for her and John, and a £40,000 four-wheel-drive Mercedes.
The pal added: "She didn't want her son living the life of luxury at her home then going to stay in his dad's council house.
"A quarter of a million is a drop in the ocean for her but it's a life-changing sum for Gerry. Gerry isn't flash and he has all he needs now to be comfortable."
Former postal admin worker Angela, who split with Gerry nine years ago, pledged to share some of her good fortune with him when she heard she had won the lotto.
At the time she said: "Gerry is so happy for me and John.
"He said, 'That's you, you never need to worry about anything again. Good luck and well done.' He is not an unreasonable man."
