Police to question Nathan Dyer and Bradley Wright-Phillips

EXCLUSIVE

Police are set to quiz the Championship footballers caught on CCTV laughing and joking as their gang stole belongings from staff at a nightclub.

Officers will interview Southampton players Nathan Dyer and Bradley Wright-Phillips - son of TV star and former England striker Ian Wright - in the next few days.

Striker Wright-Phillips, 22, brother of Chelsea star Sean, was in stitches as Dyer, 20, and three male friends went through the belongings at Portsmouth's Bar Bluu nightclub last month - in scenes caught on CCTV and printed in last week's Sunday Mirror.

The pair have now been fined two weeks' wages by the club - £10,000 for Dyer and £16,000 for Wright-Phillips, who was also dropped for the game against Leicester last week. Hampshire Police said: "We can confirm an investigation is taking place."
