BIG Brother favourite Brian Belo - who wept in the house last week after a row over racism - suffered years of racist bullying while he was growing up. He was picked on from the age of four as he grew up in Basildon, Essex, with his adoptive mum Sue Wood, 53, alongside her sons Raymond, 35, and Damian, 32.

Sue said: "Yes, he did suffer racist taunts and his family did all we could to shield him from it. One time a girl made monkey noises to him when he was barely four years old.

"Another time, in his teens, a car pulled up and a bunch of lads started shouting racist abuse at him. He was really shaken up."

Last week, Brian, 20, and Charley Uchea, 22, argued over the N-word row that led to Emily Parr, 19, being kicked out of the house in June. Brian looked on the verge of tears as he told Charley: "You don't know what happened when I was young."
