EXCLUSIVE Lorna's joy over winning scratchcard inside Celebs

Lucky Lorna Carr thinks the Sunday Mirror is just the ticket - after scooping £1million on a scratchcard.

Lorna won the top prize from the Win A Million card inside our Celebs magazine.

Now she and long-term boyfriend Dave O'Gorman, 34, plan to quit their jobs and see the world.

She also wants to build a dream home and share her wealth with her family.

Computer expert Lorna, of Galway, Ireland, was given the cheque on Friday, her 32nd birthday.

Last night Lorna said: "It still hasn't sunk in. When I realised I had won a million I was shaking like a leaf. I couldn't believe it, I was lost for words. I rang my mother Kathleen and she didn't believe me at first.

"I didn't call Dave straight away as I thought he might crash the car!" Lorna added: "Dave and I are now planning to give up our jobs and travel the world. We've been together four years and we're practically married already but wedding bells may be on the horizon.

"One day we'll build our dream home and we will certainly help our families out, too. I've only played the scratchcards a handful of times before and never won anything.

"Life is never going to be the same again that's for sure."

It was archaeologist Dave, who has just finished a master's degree at the University of Galway, who bought the lucky Sunday Mirror on December 2. Lorna, who works from home, decided to do the scratchcard when it fell on the couple's kitchen floor.

A few days later she was called by the head of Purely Creative, the firm behind the card with the good news.

1st winner in 18years

Lorna is Purely Creative's first £1m winner in 18 years.

It costs £1.50 a minute to phone the hotline and calls can last six minutes.
